Welcome to Merrionette Park Baseball, Inc.

REMEMBER HE IS JUST A LITTLE BOY
He stands at the plate with his heart pounding fast,
the bases are loaded, and the die is cast.

Mom and Dad cannot help him, he stands all alone,
a hit at this moment would send his team home.

The ball nears the plate, he swings and he misses,
there's a groan from the crowd, with boos and with hisses.

A thoughtless voice cries, “strike out the bum!”

Tears fill his eyes, the game's no longer fun.

Remember, he's just a little boy who stands all alone.

So open your hearts and give him a break,
for its moments like this, a man you can make.

Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget,
he's just a little boy, and not a man yet.

Announcements

To Our Merrionette Park Baseball Friends,

Eight months have passed since the death of our beautiful son Nathan. Our pain at times

is still as raw as the day he died. Our longing for his smile, laughter, touch and enthusiasm is so

great some days it seems unbearable to know we have to live without him here on earth. We

trust God and are assured of His promise that Nate is safe in heaven. We trust we are being held

and guided toward a peace in our hearts.

Nate loved baseball. He loved playing baseball at Merrionette Park. He loved the kids

he met and respected the coaches he learned from. He always tried to do his best, was proud of

his abilities but humble when he did well and driven to not give up when he failed. He worked

hard and liked to just have a lot of fun.

Our family cannot thank you enough for the outstanding baseball program this volunteer

organization offered and the kindness you showed to us during this difficult time. The many

ways you honored Nate’s memory and showed us support has truly touched our hearts and we

will forever be grateful. We will miss watching Nate and the rest of the boys playing this year

and in the years to come. We wish all your families the best and pray you will always stay

strong in faith and love. The time spent with your loved ones is sacred and can never be

replaced. Enjoy.

Peace & Love,

Rob & Kelly Dombrowski
